SEWER MAINTENANCE

The Iowa Great Lakes Sanitary District has a regular maintenance program for the public sewer system.  With the Sanitary District owning over 100 miles of sewer pipes, it is our goal to clean and inspection between 30 and 40 miles of pipe every year.  This maintenance includes using a water jet to clean the sewer lines and a camera to inspection the sewer line.  Maintenance issues are ranked by the NASCO PACP evaluation criteria.  Those items are documented and reviewed at the office for plans for repairs depending on how critical the situation is with the site.
