Wastewater Spills
Wastewater spill can impact water quality of the Iowa Great Lakes and the public health of residents and visitors. There are four drinking water intakes in the Iowa Great Lakes that could be impacted by a sewer spill if it gets to the one of the Iowa Great Lakes.
If you see water coming out of a manhole or bubbling out of the ground you should call one of the following numbers
Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Sanitary District Office 712-338-2626 ext 1.
Outside of those hours or if you don't get an answer at the Sanitary District call Dickinson County Dispatch at 712-336-2525.
If this is a sewer issue we want to resolve it as quick as possible.
