2027 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS

FORCEMAIN REPLACMENTS

The Sanitary District has 64 lift station and with each lift station there is a force main pipe that the lift station pumps water through.  These pipes area as short as a about 600 feet long and some of them run a couple of miles.  The force mains are a critical part of the lift stations operations.  The goal of this project is to replace the existing force mains through trenchless method, most likely directional drilling.  The funds allocated to this project at $1,000,000.

PIKES POINT GARVITY SEWER REPLACEMENT

This project would be replacing all the gravity sewer from the Monarch Cove Area up to Pikes Point State Park.  This would also include replacing the sewer force main.  The project would consist of replacing about 3,3,00 feet of 8 inch gravity sewer, 17 manholes and about 1,000 feet of force main sewer.  The estimated cost for this project is $3,600,000

JONES BEACH GRAVITY SEWER SYSTEM

This project will replace the gravity sewer system in Jones Beach area of West Okoboji.  The goal is to replace at a minimum of around 2,100 ft of 8 inch pipe and 10 manholes.  Depending on factors at the time, the entire collection system of about 3,500 feet of 8 inch pipe and 17 manholes may be replaced.  The estimated cost for this project is between $2,200,000 and $3,800,000.
